Tensile Architecture - Design Process

Generation of cutting patterns

Generation of cutting patterns is the most specific item in the realisation of a tensile structure. The 3D-model is divided into several parts as per the width of the fabric to be used. Using specially designed software for generation of the cutting patterns, the results generated are tested by making a scaled mock-up. After rectification, if any is required, the working is done on the final fabric. This prevents unnecessary discrepancies in the final structure and virtually rules out any wastage of the expensive fabric.

Realisation of the membrane structure
We employ an extremely competent team of erection agents, who are well accomplished in their jobs. Erection gangs, work in tandem with our structural engineers to develop the best method of erecting, in the least time possible to prevent any nuisance to the surroundings due to the heavy equipment used for the erection. Besides laying a great stress on the qualitative finish of the membrane, a great attention is paid to the technical and aesthetic details of the welded cutting patterns, and the details of the main structure. We guarantee a basic level of workmanship and all our structures are guaranteed against and material or workmanship based defects for four seasons.
